Artibus Innovation has developed three new units of competency for the CPC Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package, to provide BIM awareness training to support people in the construction industry who are (or will be) required to work on jobs that require BIM interaction.
To ensure the proposed units meet industry needs they have created a validation survey to see if the units are fit for purpose and have the support of stakeholders.
The three units proposed are:
CPCBIM4001 Plan building or construction work to comply with BIM project requirements
CPCBIM4002 Use BIM processes to carry out building or construction work
CPCBIM4003 Finalise building or construction work to comply with BIM project requirements
It is important that OC Managers contribute to this validation survey as while construction is not directly related to our industry, strata handles the repercussions of non-compliant buildings. Transparency of the construction process is essential for building management and will improve communication with committees and foster a sense of security in residents homes.
