Demand for Strata Qualifications

Did you know that your strata industry is close to losing its current accredited qualifications available for Strata Community Management? Certificate III, Certificate IV & Diploma in Strata Community Management.

Well, now is the time to take action! Whether you’ve been following the conversation on our industry qualifications or not, your immediate action is needed.

While SCA is nationally advocating for formal qualifications under the Australian Qualification Framework to be maintained, the government is seeking evidence of its demand.

This evidence can only come from you, our Members.

You’re therefore being asked - What competencies/skills are missing from the CERT IV list that are considered essential to the future of the industry?

Please respond by way of a formal letter including your advice and thoughts on the details outlined below.

Please prepare a formal letter addressed to:

Emeritus Professor Tracey Horton AO

AISC Chair

C/- Artibus

373 Elizabeth Street

North Hobart  TAS 7000

The letter must address the following in relation to your business and State:

  • What is the expected employment growth for your business over the next 5 years?

  • How many staff are you expecting to put through the Cert IV in the next 5 years?

  • What Cert IV competencies/skills are missing in the course that are considered essential to the future of the industry?

  • What are the current industry skills that are needed to meet your State’s legislation?

  • What are the consequences/risks of inaction of the current Cert IV competencies being updated?

Please send the completed checklist and letter to marketing@strata.community by next week COB Wednesday, 9 September 2020.
