SCA (VIC) Secretary
Stuart has 20+ years’ experience working with Owners Corporations and has developed a diverse client group that ranges from smaller developments through to high rises operating with multiple Owners Corporations. Through these years of experience Stuart has acquired extensive experience in handling VCAT related matters that require detailed preparation to achieve positive results, and a willingness to share his knowledge and experience with members of his staff to assist in their development in this field. In 2011 Stuart was awarded ‘Best Owners Corporation Manager’ in the SCAV Industry Awards for Excellence.
Formal qualifications held by Stuart include graduating from RMIT with a ‘certificate of technology – survey draftsmen’ as well as the Real Estate Agents course from the Chisholm Institute, and his career includes experience as a survey draftsman and an owner/builder.
Stuart’s desire to give back to the industry sees Stuart as an elected Member of the SCAV Board, on the Finance and Governance Sub-Committees, as well as being the appointed Secretary. Stuart has also served a two-year term as a Director on the National Board of SCA.
The SCAV Board (Board) is committed to the preservation of membership confidence, the professionalisation of the Strata industry and the delivery of the highest standard of ethical practice. The Board has adopted a new Professional Governance Framework (PGF), which includes a revised Board Charter, Board Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Privacy and Confidentially Policy. To reinforce their commitment to the PGF, each Board Member has signed a Duties & Responsibilities of Board Members statement and a Register of Interest declaration.
